Irish flavors perfect for the season, this delectable affogato float is the perfect St. Patrick's Day treat!
Ingredients for Irish Cream Affogato Float:
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon Irish cream syrup
- 2 oz espresso 1/2 Irish whiskey
Ingredients for Irish Cream Syrup:
- 2 teaspoons dutch processed cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
Prepare the syrup by adding water and sugar to a pot on low heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and add in cocoa powder, almond extract, and vanilla bean paste.
Whisk to combine. Let syrup cool to room temp and then store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
To build the Affogato, add 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream to glass.
Drizzle irish cream syrup over ice cream and add the Irish whiskey.
Lastly, add the shot of espresso and enjoy!
