Philips 3300 LatteGo

Philips’ line of LatteGo superautomatic espresso machines is a fantastic set of machines for anyone looking for convenient brewing at home. Their newest model, the 3300, takes the feature set of these machines and adds some really excellent sound insulation, which can lower grind and brew volumes by as much as 40%! For those unfamiliar, let’s take a look at this machine’s list of features.

Design and Features

Philips superautomatic espresso machines are all-in-one grind and brew espresso makers that handle every step of the brewing process for you. These machines even steam your milk for you, and the way the Philips 3300 LatteGo handles this process is one of the things that makes it unique. After grinding and brewing your espresso shot, the carafe based milk-steamer aerates and steams your milk, then adds it to your drink. Using this system you can easily make one-touch lattes, espresso, and cappuccinos. This machine also has a built-in recipe for a long shot, which is reminiscent of a drip coffee, and even an iced coffee option. Finally, you can customize elements like volume, strength, and the amount of foam. A X2 option allows you to easily make a double, or two separate drinks.

The design of the machine is smart as well, featuring a narrow footprint, reasonably sized drip tray, and decent volume for hopper and water tank. This machine does feature a plastic case, but it’s stylishly designed and solidly constructed. The colorful buttons are also a nice touch, giving you a clear look at how to make your drinks.

Odds and Ends

In addition to all of the great operating features of this machine, the Philips 3300 LatteGo is pretty easy to maintain. While those wanting to slide it under cabinets may find that loading water and coffee can be a mild frustration, the large drip tray and AquaClean filtration options allow you to cut down on maintenance and upkeep over other machines. The LatteGo carafe is even much easier to clean than other milk systems, making this machine a dream for latte lovers.

And last, but certainly not least, there’s the reason for this new model - the sound dampening. One of the complaints on other models of Philips superautos is that they can be a bit noisy. The grinding sound is loud, and even brewing is a little louder than some competitors. Enter the 3300! This machine uses sound dampening to cut sound by up to 40%. It even earned a Quiet Mark certification, so you know Philips isn’t just making up this reduction in noise level.

All in all, this is a fantastic machine for anyone looking for a complete grinding, brewing, and milk steaming package. Still not convinced? Check out our video on this machine below!
