Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz espresso
  • 1-2 tbsp Earl Grey syrup, to taste
  • 6 oz milk, regular or plant-based
  • Garnish: cinnamon stick and/or ground cinnamon

To assemble, fill a tall glass with ice.

Pour freshly brewed espresso over the ice.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of the syrup, or to taste. Stir to combine.

Finish with 6 oz of cold milk or a milk alternative.

Garnish with cinnamon stick and/or ground cinnamon.

Instruction for the syrup:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 bags or 3 tsp Earl Grey tea

In a small saucepan, add the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer until the sugar is dissolved, stirring intermittently.

Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for about 3-4 minutes.

Remove the tea bags and allow the syrup to cool.

Transfer it to a container for storage in the refrigerator.

Tips: The Earl Grey syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Be careful with how long the tea leaves are in the syrup as they can make the syrup bitter if infused too long.
