Lavazza

Welcome to Seattle Coffee Gear’s great selection of Lavazza coffee, where you can browse all your favorite blends by this quintessentially Italian coffee roaster. You probably instantly recognize Lavazza, since it’s one of the world’s biggest and most beloved coffee roasters. But did you know that Lavazza is also one of the oldest coffee roasters, too? It was founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza and is still administered by the Lavazza family today. That means they’ve had over 100 years to perfect their craft!

For Lavazza Packaging Changes, Lavazza says: "We are constantly reevaluating our portfolio to offer the best assortment, experience, and taste to our customers." - Updates to the design of the packaging is common, if you have any concerns please let us know and we can verify you have the correct item.

For Lavazza's compressed or slightly puffy packaging on whole bean coffee, Lavazza says: "All bags of Lavazza coffee are fitted with a patented one-way valve allowing air and naturally occurring gases to exit the bag, while preventing oxygen from entering. This patented technology preserves freshness and the organoleptic properties of all Lavazza whole bean coffee. Depending on where the bag was placed on the pallet during transport, you may receive either a puffy or compressed bag, however both of the presentations are vacumm sealed."

For pre-ground coffee, Lavazza says: "All bricks of Lavazza coffee are fully sealed when shipped by our warehouse. If you squeeze the brick and no air exits, the seal is fully intact and the brick of coffee is fully sealed and there is no impact on freshness or preservation."

We just discovered this brand and love buying it from Seattle Coffee Gear! Very convenient and it's a very smooth, strong espresso with very little bitterness.

Out of sync flavor profile

Purchased three bags at a discount with coupon. Tossed the first bag after four pulls. Flavor profile and quality did not seem to match expectations from description. Bad purchase overall. Prefer Bristot Sublime when purchasing this quantity.

Love the Lavazza

I've gone the whole coffee circuit from the expensive high rated to some that tasted like the sweepings from the floor and didn't expect a lot when I bought my first bag. The aroma was so inviting when I opened the bag. Grinding the beans really made me crave a cup. We cold brew out coffee and it works out great for us. The balance of rich flavor without that acid bitter aftertaste makes a perfect cup.

I make double shot oat milk lattes every morning, loving the Italian espresso roast and oat milk flavors combination makes for a strong flavored, robust morning treat to start the day. Nothing sweet about it!! ??

Great source for LavAzza coffee beans

While we like this espresso, what we would love to order is a whole bean medium roast coffee from LavAzza

Kader Review

Absolute delight. These espresso coffee beans are a feast to the gustative taste. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 is it's not dark enough in my opinion. On the other hand these 100% arabica beans. Their optimum color is deep brown. What is they are roasted a little bit longer ? Just a suggestion :-)

Excellent value

Excellent value- Works very well in a superautomatic (mine is Saeco Intuita).

Not as flavorful as I thought a darker roast would have.

WEAK COFFEE

I bought this because it is Italian and they know espresso. I was aware that this was a medium roast but also that it was the darkest Lavazza roast. It is light and as a consequence not very flavorful. It tried an espresso brew and didn't like it so I am using it for brewed coffee but I have to mix in a darker roast to get much flavor. If you are a light roast fan you may really like this coffee.

Excellent choice for latte

Excellent beans for espresso machine. I love the intensity and aroma. Does well with cupucino or latte. Highly recommended for automatic espresso machines

Magic Espresso

For my family these are magic beans. Rich, dark, not overpowering. Not your Starbucks over roasted, burnt espresso. Smells and tastes like coffee should.

To understand freshness without a roasting date, how many months or year does LavAzza give as best before date? Thanks. John s.

Patrick C.

Hello,We aren't provided with roast dates so it's hard for us to calculate the roast timing based on "best by" dates. I can say that because they nitrogen flush their coffee it does last for quite a long time.

which one is best for jura z6 machine and less sour?

Joshua S.

Super Crema is far-and-away our most popular Lavazza blend! I'd recommend trying that.
