About

The machines in the SILVIA series have been designed to prepare espresso and other hot beverages for domestic use. They also can be used in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments (i.e. farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels, bed and breakfast and other residential type environments).

Silvia is designed for installation of our coffee pod or capsule kit. For further information, please contact your distributor.

Set up the machine

Switch ON / OFF

• Fill water tank (ca. 2 litres)
• Use fresh water
• Insert both hoses into water reservoir
• Open tap
• Switch on main switch and coffee switch
• Connect to main power
• Close tap as soon as water comes out of the steam wand
• Pour 0.5 l water out of the group
• Switch off the coffee switch
• Empty the drip tray

Preparing coffee

• Use a filter for 1 or 2 coffees as required
• Fill with coffee powder and tamp
• Lock the filter holder into the grouphead
• Put cup(s) under coffee outlet
• Start brewing by pressing coffee switch
• Stop brewing by pressing coffee switch
• Remove filter holder, knock it out and lock it again

Preparing hot water (tea)

• Flush out residual steam condensation
• Put cup under hot water spout
• Switch on the hot water switch
• Open tap slowly
• Close tap when the desired amount is reached
• Switch off the hot water switch

Steaming

• Switch on steam switch
• Flush out residual steam condensation
• Wait for steam to be generated
• Wait for the lamp «boiler heating» to switch off
• Submerge steam wand in milk
• Open tap slowly
• Close tap when the desired temperature is reached
• Remove product when finished
• Switch off steam switch
• Purge steam to clean steam wand
• Clean steam wand
• Switch on the hot water switch, open tap slowly
• Close tap as soon as water comes out of the hot water spout, switch off the hot water switch
