Disappointed.

Not bad tasting, but if you are looking for a dark roast, this is not it. Mine was a light-medium roast. Didn't taste bad, but I really expected something a little more full bodied. I won't be ordering this again.

Delicious!

The beans are small, dry-looking, not extremely aromatic. The brewed coffee is delicious! I definitely tasted the chocolate, and imagine I tasted cherry. The molasses taste I did not notice. I made espresso, Americanos, and lattes with my new Breville Infuser ( bought from SCG) one after another because I could not stop.Would purchase it again, no doubt.

Makes a Good Espresso

I like this Dancing Goats BLEND better than the Whirling Dervish Blend which too sweet. This is dark + smooth + not too sweet. It makes a very good espresso.

Great Coffee. I use to live in Olympia and it was always a highlight to go to the downtown shop to be spoiled by great coffee that seemed to be delivered by people that liked coffee!

Not Dark Roast

Unfortunately these are a medium roast, not a dark roast. If you are like me and enjoy a nice rich dark roasted cup of coffee then these beans are not for you. It's not even close.

Acidic and thin

Acidic and thin. Not what I was looking for.

Excellent coffee grinder

My daughter had one which she had never used, though she had lost the burr grinder. I was able to order over the phone, no hassle, $16.00. Arrived in three days - the grinder is quiet, for a grinder, we like it a lot. I ordered one through Seattle Coffee Gear for a house warming friend - she loves it. I highly recommend this grinder.

Dancing Goats Recommendation

I'm new to pour over coffee brewing. I chose the "staff pick" for a pour over coffee and ordered the Dancing Goats whole bean. I use it in my Bodum decanter with a paper Chemex filter. it's great, will be buying more.

Roast Level

This isn't a dark roast. Its more of a medium roast. I was expecting a darker roast when I ordered this. The beans were good but it wasn't necessarily what I was looking for.

Not up to expectations - for us

Reviews have "the goats" highly rated but this was not our experience. There was a hint of burnt-ness and a slightly bitter taste. Way different than the "smooth" and "sweet" that other reviewers mention. Had this after 2 other very nice tasting coffees. Made in our Saeco Superauto. Sorry to say, not recommended.

Good everyday bean for superautomatics

A smooth, full, more traditional coffee flavor profile than our other favorite (Intelligentsia Black Cat). Less fruit forward but also not bitter, just well balanced. Brilliant in Cafes Au Lait and also good in Lattes, and complemented by a little sugar.

Could be a bit bolder, but it's not bad by any means.

My Favorite

I was in Chattanooga, TN and stopped in Wired Cafe for a coffee (house blend) The BEST coffee i had ever had! I told my Husband we have to go back there so i can buy a bag of beans to take home. Googled it, and ive been getting it delivered from B&B ever since! I dont drink anything else unless i have to (traveling).
