Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need electricity for the Flair 58 Plus 2?

Only for preheating. An integrated heating element in the base preheats the brew group so manual shots hit temperature; you supply the pressure with the lever. You'll heat water separately with a kettle.

What size portafilter does the Flair 58 Plus 2 use?

A detachable 58mm portafilter, so standard 58mm tampers and puck screens fit.

What's new in the Flair 58 Plus 2?

An integrated preheating element, a pressure gauge, a shot mirror and a longer brew lever with a T-shaped handle. It's the top of Flair's lineup.

What's the warranty?

2 years from Flair.

A very simple machine that allows you to fine-tune the draw profile to produce that perfect pour. Solid construction overall, BUT, the wood handle on the portafilter arrived with stripped threads or threads not cut deep enough, resulting in it always being loose. Working on a replacement now.

Awesome espresso machine. Very easy to use after watching a few videos. Extremely easy workflow and maximum flexibility to manage your pulls.

Fun, easy to use, looks great on the counter!

I love the simplicity of it. I can control the bars of pressure easily and I love the heated grouphead. I did buy a Fellow gooseneck kettle for ease of pouring the water into the chamber/grouphead. Remember to use the included puck screen. (You only make that mistake once!) it's fun to try different profiles. I love the wood accents, too.

flair 58 plus 2, 582, or 60???

love it. fun to pressure profile even though I'm not very good at it. there is a learning curve, but you're also learning about coffee. certainly adds ceremony to the mystique of xoffee
