Overall, I'm impressed by the kettle. Bought it for my father who has recently become enamored with pour over coffee, and he has been using a cheap electric kettle for it. The pour spout on the Hario Buono is very nice and provides a controlled and even pour over anything (it's great for loose leaf tea, too!). I have a couple gripes, but they are definitely small, and I do not regret buying this kettle. When the water starts to boil, it forces its way through the pour spout and gets all over the stove top. I've tried filling the kettle less, but it doesn't seem to help. The wooden knob on the lid gets too hot to handle. Trying to remove the lid while the water is boiling/right after it boils is almost impossible without moving quickly or using a potholder. I am very disappointed in the the handle; I thought the silicon and shape of the handle would result in it barely becoming hot, but on my gas stove, I need to use a potholder in order to pick up the kettle after boiling.

Initially wanted the Stainless Steel model. But it was sold out at the time. The copper was on sale so I went with that. Purchased product to achieve better results with my Chemex. I was skeptical at first. However, my expectations were greatly exceeded. First off, it is made in Japan. Secondly, the quality is impeccable. It even looks nice just sitting on the stove. The control of the pour was a game changer for me. And it does not make any loud noise when a boil is reached. This is great for making pour over coffee at 345 am. Very happy.

Excellent control of water, looks great. Heats quickly and makes the pour over method enjoyable, recommend if thinking about it.
