There's nothing like a classic cup of drip brewed coffee. For many of us here at Seattle Coffee Gear this is still the go-to brew method to kick off a busy day. One of the best parts of this method is that it really has been perfected - we know what works, so selecting a coffee brewer is more about finding one with those extra touches that works for you. We're excited to share our best coffee brewers of 2025, so let's get started!
Ratio Four Coffee Maker
The Ratio Four is a truly innovative little brewer. We've been fans of Ratio for some time, but their previous models have been big, powerful brewers that bring a combination of commercial level performance and impressive, monolithic design. The Ratio Four, however, is something very different.
This small scale brewer may not be as big or mighty, but it still packs a punch. With simple brew settings and a compact footprint this is an excellent brewer to take to the office or a study at home. The most unique element of the Four is its water tank, which is positioned separately from the machine for versatility and flexibility. While this brewer may not make a high volume of coffee, we think that its design and performance make it a great fit for quite a lot of coffee drinkers!
Brevelle Luxe Glass
An evolution of Breville's fantastic Precision Brewer, the Luxe takes that platform to the next level. A high degree of programmability means that you'll be able to brew whatever you can dream up within the realm of slow brewing, from iced coffee to gold cup and everything in between. The huge water tank also means you can produce big batches fit for a while house of coffee drinkers.
Where this brewer takes things a step further from the Precision Brewer is its design. The interface is a much higher contrast, which makes the machine easier to work with, but it also has a removable water tank for much easier filling and cleaning. It even supports water filters for fresh cups and longer lasting performance. If you are looking for the ultimate in control and programmability in a traditional brewing package then look no further than this excellent offering from Breville! Also available with a thermal carafe.
xBloom Studio Smart Coffee Machine
The xBloom is something we seldom see in drip coffee makers - an all-in-one machine. That means it packages a grinder, scale, and brewer into one convenient footprint. While the obvious advantage here is the simplicity of buying one unit and having it all in one place, it also means that you know the grinder is perfectly constructed to work with the brewer.
While this machine is geared primarily towards single cup enthusiasts, it is a truly wonderful machine that is worth it for any drip coffee fan. With deep programmability and excellent performance, we love every cup we brew on an xBloom Studio. You can even use a Kalita Wave dripper with it - a favorite of pour over enthusiasts. This is a perfect machine if you like every little detail of the brewing process and love pour over, but want something with a bit more automation.
Honorable Mention: Fellow Aiden
The Fellow Aiden is a bit of a tricky honorable mention. We love the versatility of the Aiden, its ability to brew all kinds of recipes and styles of coffee. Providing different basket options, deep programmability, and a smart interface are all excellent features here. It has, however, not wowed every user.
There's been a lot of talk of the feel of this machine. It's true that it's a bit lightweight and lacks the solid, chunky touch that you get from other Fellow products. We agree that it would be nice if this machine felt a little more substantial, and it's a reasonable critique for a machine coming from such a respected manufacturer. That said, we have had solid lasting success with the Aiden, and think it provides some solid value given its capabilities. We'd love to hear from you about your experiences with this machine!
