Eureka Mignon Libra does not disappoint

So happy with my Eureka Mignon Libra Espresso Grinder. It has elevated my cappuccino making! Right out of the box I checked the scale accuracy and it was spot on. I love that it weighs the grounds! The dosing funnel that came with the grinder is a must for keeping the grounds in the portafilter while grinding. My 58mm portafilter fits nicely in the grinder. I did get the error message, "FH", initially, but soon found the right gentle placement of the portafilter into the holder. I like the big knob for adjusting the grind and found it easy to fine tune for the beans in the hopper. I use this grinder exclusively for espresso. I did a great deal of research before purchasing this grinder. I talked to my local coffee repair shop who repairs grinders and espresso machines, and also talked to my local coffee shop owner who has owned multiple grinders. I like that this grinder is still made in Florence Italy. The craftsmanship of this grinder is beautiful. Its weight is substantial and is quiet for a grinder. Eureka, I appreciate you!

Worth every Penny!

The Eureka Mignon Libra has exceeded every expectation I had. The grind-by-weight feature is incredibly accurate and consistent, which has made my espresso workflow faster and far less wasteful. Being able to dose by weight instead of time has been a game changer, and it's consistently within a fraction of a gram. The grind quality is excellent. It produces fluffy, uniform grounds that have noticeably improved the consistency of my espresso shots. The stepless adjustment is precise and easy to dial in, whether I'm switching between different beans or making small tweaks.Seattle Coffee Gear also deserves recognition for their excellent service. The grinder arrived well packaged, on time, and exactly as described.

Nice grind by weight grinder

Have been using this grinder for 3 weeks already and i am very pleased with its performance so far. Scale is very accurate and once i dialed in a bean i plan on using for a while, work flow is very efficient.

Eureka Libra Grinder

I have set mine to 18 grams output, and for the first couple of weeks, I was getting +/- 0.4 grams in variations. I was getting ready to send it back for a refund, but after that first two weeks, the weights started being within 0.1 gram tolerance, and after 3 weeks more than half of the time is right on the money. The grind quality is excellent for espresso. I am very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic Reduction to Workflow but expensive..

Love this grinder. I'm new to high end espresso gear having moved up from an OXO conical burr grinder. I won't say much about tastes because that's mostly subjective but the reduction of work flow really gets me out the door in the morning and removes some of the barrier between me and my drinks for my girlfriend and I. I was skeptical about high end grinders and their true effectiveness on quality of espresso but what isn't snake oil is the time save and the enjoyment of keeping the scale in the drawer and and blindly trusting this grinder to get me from a full hopper to an empty hopper without much fret. I almost went with single dosing because anyone will tell you about how the DF64 is a great value but as soon as I saw myself shopping for vials to keep pre weighed beans in, I knew it was not going to be the right move for me. I bought this grinder for the aesthetics, build quality, and of course, the ease of use. FH error was a minor problem at first but after 3 days of use, it's not been a problem at all. I haven't expanded much into other coffee types so I can't speak on its functionality for pourover, press or any of that. This is an espresso forward grinder after all. I do wish that it could free grind into other containers for utility, portafilters only. 4 stars only because the price is insane. Perhaps in some years the market will have more options for grind-by-weight closer to the $500 mark but I wasn't going to wait.

Excellent Grinder

I spent a lot of time researchig the different options, many of which are cheaper than the Libra. I'm really glad I purchased this unit. The dosing weight and consistency have dramatically improved each pull of espresso from my Oracle Touch. Buy the extended warranty just in case.

This grinder is sureal! I think it is almost to good to be true, well for me. I hope it lasts long. Great addition to a setup if you have a bean and routine that you like and want to keep it coming the same daily.

Hi! Eureka Mignon Libra is a good product

Definitely has room for improvement

Honestly a little disappointed in this grinder. I was hoping that the dial would go from course to fine with a "zero stop." But instead the dial spins forever, making it difficult to switch between espresso and pour over setting. Also the portafilter fork is very finicky- sometimes it takes multiple tries to seat it properly so it can start grinding. And it does not accept a single dose cup for pour-over without removing the fork and switching it. Definitely has room for improvement.

Eureka Mignon Libra Espresso Grinder

Overall good grind-by-weight espresso grinder. Has transformed my home espresso experience and ease in work flow. Downside is the FH error can appear (requires some adjustment that can get frustrating) and the dial numbers do not correspond to the grind size.

So unreliable and frustrating to use

This machine is way too finicky for the hefty price tag it carries. We bought it to simplify our workflow but it honestly just complicates things. The "filter holder" error happens maddeningly frequently it just slows everything down. On a perfectly level surface, changing nothing, waiting after placing the portafilter it still has the error. Seriously NOT worth the price tag

Quick & Easy

I highly recommend this grinder. It's made my morning that much easier and quicker. Accuracy of the scale has been on the mark from the beginning. My family member who's a barista loves it too!

It's fine if it works

It's a decent flat burr grinder when it works. However, the screen will display "FH" multiple times because you did not set the portafilter into it perfectly. Then you'll have to remove it, wait 5 seconds and reinsert and hope it worked.Another frustrating feature is if there are no beans it stops grinding, which is fine, but if the beans get stuck it will stop within half a second and does not give you a chance to push/tap the machine to get the beans down the shoot. This would be fine but the weight that was dispensed disappears so you'll left with weighing what's in your filter or tossing it and restarting.

Libra review

this is the best, most consistent grinder I have ever had. Step less, consistent weight every time. The libra is also the easiest grinder I have ever used.
