Overview
The SMEG EMC02 Espresso Machine is SMEG's flagship home espresso machine. Designed for the home barista who wants modern luxury in a traditional format, the EMC02 evokes the classic E61 look with styling that is all SMEG. Under the hood, the approach is more modern with a triple thermoblock system for brewing, steaming and group heating. Brewing is electronic rather than mechanical, so you can program single or double shots by time, or use the lever for a manual shot. A built-in shot timer and pressure gauge give all the mid-shot feedback you'll need. The control screen also offers access to PID temperature controls, four pre-infusion profiles, and adjustments for both steam power level and an optional Eco-mode. An insulated steam wand brings the heat for milk work and doubles as a hot water spout at the touch of a button. Both pressurized and non-pressurized baskets come in the box, so the EMC02 fits new brewers and aficionados alike.
