Description About Spyhouse Coffee Roasting - Bold and the Beautiful
Spyhouse Coffee’s Bold and the Beautiful is a rich, darker blend that offers very present notes of baker’s chocolate, black walnut, and creme brulee. This organic roast was "designed to highlight the complex interplay of darkened sugar tones within a rich balance" according to Spyhouse themselves. We concur, as the sweeter sugary notes, hint of bitterness, and decidedly rich body really do come together beautifully in the cup. This roast works especially well as a drip brew.

Recommended Brew Methods
Start with a 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio for your dosing. You’ll want a medium grind size for drip brewing that’s finer than what you’d use for pourover. Make sure you give the filter basket a shake to evenly distribute the grounds in the filter for best results. Turn on your brewer and it’ll do the rest!

For a French Press brew we recommend a 1:12 coffee to water ratio with coffee ground at the consistency of sea salt. Add your grounds to the brewing chamber. then add twice the water as there are grounds to the chamber. Stir gently and allow to bloom for about 30 seconds. Place the top on the press and allow it to steep for 4 minutes. Plunge the press slowly and enjoy!

Superautos make brewing espresso easy. All you need to do is add beans to the hopper and press a button to pull yourself a shot. If your shot is a bit sour you’ll want to dial the grinder a little bit finer and try again. If it’s bitter, dial it a little coarser. You can find instructions on how to do this for your machine in the manual. Just remember to avoid oily beans that can clog your superauto’s grinder!
