75mm vs 65mm Burrs

The Atom 75 is identical to the Atom 65 in features (color screen, stepless bottom burr adjust, ACE system, silent grinding) but uses larger 75mm flat burrs. The 75mm burrs grind at 4.5–5.5 grams per second at espresso settings—approximately 25–35% faster than the Atom 65. This speed advantage is most noticeable during high-volume sessions or when grinding back-to-back doses.

Grind Adjustment

The Atom 75 uses the same stepless bottom-burr knurled knob as the Atom 65. The larger 75mm burrs may require a slightly different position for the same espresso target as an Atom 65 due to differing burr geometry—start fresh and dial in from scratch if transitioning from a different grinder.

Color Screen

Same color touchscreen as the Atom 65 with Dose 1, Dose 2, and manual modes. With the faster 75mm burrs, your saved dose times will be shorter—expect an 18g double in approximately 3.5–4 seconds.

Higher Speed Dosing

The Atom 75's 4.5–5.5g/sec output means timed doses happen quickly. Program your doses carefully—the tolerance for over-grinding is tighter than with slower grinders. Use a scale when first programming to nail your target weight.

Light Commercial Suitability

The Atom 75 can handle light commercial volumes—a coffee cart, small office, or home barista making 20+ drinks per day will benefit from the larger burrs and faster throughput compared to the Atom 65 or Mignon line.

Eureka's bottom-burr adjust system moves only the lower burr, preserving your grind setting even when you disassemble the grinder for cleaning.

Daily Cleaning

Brush the grind chute and portafilter fork area after each session. Wipe the color screen with a soft, dry cloth. The sound-insulated ACE chute reduces grounds scatter but may need clearing of built-up oils at the chute exit.

Burr Cleaning

Run Eureka Grindz or equivalent cleaner tablets through the Atom monthly or every 5–8 pounds of coffee. The bottom-burr adjust means you can remove the top burr for cleaning without losing your calibrated grind setting. Rerun with coffee beans after tablets to clear any cleaner residue.

Grinder Runs Hot

The 75mm motor generates more heat than 65mm under sustained use. For high-volume sessions, allow brief cooling periods between doses to preserve grounds quality. The silent grinding system helps manage heat but is not a substitute for pacing.
