Eureka Atom Pro Espresso Grinder

Eureka Atom Pro Espresso Grinder

Swift, silent and specialized; the Eureka Atom Pro brings quality grinds to your counter. The Atom Pro's inside-out redesign promises ultra-consistent single-dose grinding for both espresso and pour over brew methods. Key to this unimodal focus are Eureka's new long-cut 75mm burrs, which aim to minimize fines across brew methods. An outsized, fan-equipped motor offers the needed torque to get the burrs moving, and can grind a shot or pour over in seconds flat. Rounding out the design is a grind path built just for the bellows-set blow-up hopper to clear out excess grinds. Wrapped in soft-black with accent cutouts and fun features like magnetic portafilter/basket holders, the Atom Pro is an enthusiasts dream grinder.

What's In The Box
Your Eureka Atom Pro includes: Grinder unit, 300g/10.5oz bellows hopper (doubles as blow-up purge system) with clear lid, stainless steel dosing cup, two magnetic portafilter/V60 hooks, cleaning brush, and power cord. The Atom Pro is exclusively available in matte black.

Setup & First Use

Unimodal 75mm Burrs for Single Dosing

The Atom Pro's 75mm burrs use custom 'long-cut' unimodal geometry—specifically engineered to minimize fine particles across the full grind range, from fine espresso to coarse pour-over. This 'unimodal' approach produces a narrower particle size distribution for cleaner extraction and better flavor clarity. Unlike the Atom 65/75, the Atom Pro is optimized for single-dose grinding, not hopper-based timed dosing.

920W Motor with Built-In Cooling Fan

The Atom Pro's high-torque 920W motor at 1400 RPM grinds approximately 7g/sec for espresso and 8g/sec for filter. A built-in cooling fan runs during operation to manage heat—especially important for the high motor power. Even with the fan, avoid heavy back-to-back sessions that exceed the motor's duty cycle.

Controls

The Atom Pro has a single on/off switch—no timed dosing, no screen. Grind control is entirely manual: press to start, release to stop. Use a scale for dose accuracy. The grind adjustment is a stepless knob covering the full range from fine espresso to coarse French press.

Tutorials & Training

Single-Dose Workflow with Bellows

1) Weigh beans (18g for espresso, 20–30g for filter). 2) Load into the bellows hopper. 3) Close the hopper lid. 4) Activate the grinder (on/off switch) and open the bean feed. 5) After beans pass through, close the feed and compress the bellows 3–4 times to purge residual grounds. Retention: well under 0.5g.

Using Magnetic Portafilter/V60 Hooks

The Atom Pro features two magnetic mounting hooks—one on each side of the dosing area. These hold a standard 58mm portafilter or a Hario V60 dripper in place for hands-free grinding. The magnetic mount keeps the vessel steady during grinding without requiring a traditional adjustable fork.

Grind Range — Espresso to Filter

The unimodal 75mm burrs excel across the full range. For espresso: fine setting, ~2–3 second grind for 18g. For pour-over: medium setting, ~4–5 seconds for 20–25g. Cold brew: very coarse. The Atom Pro's wide range makes it an all-method grinder despite its single-dose focus.

Heat Management

The cooling fan helps, but the 920W motor generates substantial heat at high throughput. For daily home use (1–3 doses), heat is not an issue. For back-to-back 10+ dose sessions, allow 2–3 minutes of fan-only cooling between sets.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Squeeze the bellows to purge residual grounds after each session. Brush the dosing cup and chute area. The single-dose workflow keeps the burr chamber cleaner than hopper-fed grinders.

Burr Cleaning

Run Grindz monthly. The cooling fan keeps the motor bay cleaner, but brush the fan intake vents periodically to prevent dust or grounds buildup from restricting airflow.

Troubleshooting

Grinder Overheating or Stopping Mid-Grind

If the Atom Pro stops during grinding, the motor's thermal protection may have tripped. Allow 10–15 minutes of cooling (with the fan running) before restarting. Reduce session density going forward.

Retention Higher Than Expected

Ensure you're compressing the bellows firmly 3–4 times after each dose. The hopper's clear lid lets you confirm all beans have passed. The magnetic hooks should hold the portafilter firmly—check for any gap between the portafilter and chute that might allow grounds to miss.
