What's In The Box
Your Eureka Mignon Specialita includes: Grinder unit, 300g bean hopper with lid, portafilter fork, cleaning brush, and power cord. Available in a variety of color options. The Specialita is hand-built in Florence, Italy.

Setup & First Use

Initial Setup

Place the Specialita on a flat, stable surface. Attach the bean hopper and set the portafilter fork height for your portafilter. The Specialita measures 13.8 inches tall by 4.7 inches wide—a compact footprint that fits under most cabinets.

Grind Adjustment

The Specialita uses a stepless micrometric bottom burr adjustment—the knob is located near the base and adjusts the lower burr only, preserving your grind setting through disassembly and cleaning. The 55mm flat hardened steel burrs are the largest available in the Mignon line (aside from the Oro XL). Turn clockwise for finer, counter-clockwise for coarser. Adjust while the grinder is running.

Touchscreen Setup

The Specialita's backlit resistive touchscreen displays timed dose options. Press the screen to cycle between Single, Double, and Manual (continuous) modes. Program Single and Double shot times by pressing and holding the desired button, grinding until your target weight is reached, then releasing to save.

Tutorials & Training

Programming Single and Double Doses

Press and hold the Single (1) or Double (2) button on the touchscreen to enter programming mode. Grind into a portafilter on a scale until you reach your target dose weight (typically 9g single, 18g double), then release the button. The grinder records the elapsed time and uses it for future doses.

Using Manual Mode

Press the Manual button to grind continuously while held. Use manual mode for dialing in—single-dose directly into the portafilter, weigh the output, and compare to your target. Once you've found the right dose weight, reprogram your timed buttons.

ACE Anti-Clumping System

The Specialita's wider chute design with Eureka's ACE (Anti-Clumps & Electrostaticity) system disperses grounds for fluffier, more uniform output. This reduces channeling risk in the espresso puck and keeps your portafilter cleaner.

Eureka's bottom-burr adjust system moves only the lower burr, which means you can disassemble the grinder for cleaning without losing your grind setting. This is a standout feature across the Mignon line.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Brush the grind chute and fork area after each session. Wipe the touchscreen with a soft dry cloth. Empty the hopper if leaving beans unused for more than a few days.

Burr Cleaning

Remove the top burr for cleaning without losing your grind setting. Brush out the burr chamber and reinstall. Run Grindz or Puly Grind monthly at the rate recommended on the package. Purge with a small amount of coffee beans after cleaning.

Troubleshooting

Timed Doses Vary by More Than 0.5g

Some variation (±0.5g) is normal due to bean density. If variation is larger, check that the hopper is not near-empty (air gaps cause inconsistent feed) and that the grind chute is clear. Reprogram the timed doses after making any grind adjustment.

Touchscreen Not Responding

Power off the Specialita by unplugging, wait 30 seconds, and reconnect. If the resistive touchscreen is unresponsive, ensure nothing is covering the screen surface. Persistent touchscreen faults require warranty service.
