Simply press and hold to dose into your portafilter. Other Eureka innovations include a unique anti-clump ACE system, and their signature lower burr adjust—which lets you disassemble for cleaning without losing your grind setting. What's In The Box
Your Eureka Mignon Notte includes: Grinder unit, 150g/5.5oz round bean hopper with lid, portafilter fork, cleaning brush, and power cord. The Notte is available exclusively through Seattle Coffee Gear in matte black.

Setup & First Use

Initial Setup

Place the Notte on a flat, stable surface near your espresso machine. Attach the bean hopper and install the portafilter fork at the appropriate height for your portafilter. The Notte's compact 5-inch footprint makes it one of the smallest espresso grinders available.

Grind Adjustment

The Notte uses Eureka's stepless micrometric adjustment knob on the front of the grinder for near-infinite grind settings. The adjustment controls the lower burr—meaning you can disassemble the grinder for cleaning without losing your setting. Turn clockwise for finer, counter-clockwise for coarser. Make small incremental adjustments when dialing in espresso.

Dosing

The Notte is a manual press-to-grind grinder with no timer or programmable doses. Press and hold your portafilter against the grind switch to activate grinding; release to stop. For consistent dosing, use a scale and grind until your target dose weight is reached.

Tutorials & Training

Press-to-Grind Operation

Press your portafilter against the activation switch on the front of the grinder to start grinding. Hold until you reach your desired dose weight, then release. The Notte's on-demand operation gives you complete control—grind a precise dose every time using a scale.

Dialing In Espresso

Starting from a medium-fine setting, pull a test shot targeting 25–30 seconds for a 36g yield from 18g dose. If the shot runs too fast, adjust finer; too slow, adjust coarser. The stepless system allows micro-adjustments—turn the knob slowly and re-pull.

Single Dosing

The Notte's low retention design makes it easy to use as a single-dose grinder. Weigh your beans, load into the hopper, grind until the hopper is empty, then collect your dose. The ACE system helps minimize clumping as grounds exit the chute.

Bottom Burr Adjust Advantage

Eureka's bottom-burr adjust system moves only the lower burr, which means you can disassemble the grinder for cleaning without losing your grind setting. This is a standout feature across the Mignon line.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Brush the grind chute and portafilter fork area after each session with the included cleaning brush. The Notte does not have sound dampening, so its grinding output is more noticeable than the Silenzio or Specialita—a grinder brush tap against the chute helps dislodge retained grounds.

Burr Cleaning

Remove the top burr for periodic cleaning (the bottom burr adjust system ensures no grind setting is lost when you do). Brush out grounds from the burr chamber. Run grinder cleaning tablets (Grindz or Puly Grind) monthly to remove oils. Purge with a small amount of beans afterward.

Troubleshooting

Shots Running Too Fast or Too Slow

Adjust the front-mounted stepless knob in small increments. Always run the grinder while making adjustments—adjusting with the grinder off can cause the burrs to seize. If the full range has been reached and espresso is still too coarse, the burr set may need recalibration.

Grinder Not Activating

Ensure the portafilter is pressing firmly against the activation switch. The switch requires sufficient pressure to engage. Check the power cord and that the grinder is plugged in fully.
