Eureka Mignon Filtro Brew Coffee Grinder

Eureka Mignon Filtro Brew Coffee Grinder

The Eureka Filtro Brew Coffee Grinder brings excellent grinds to your morning coffee ritual. Eureka's first foray into brew-focused grinding; the Mignon Filtro offers quick, consistent grinds in a design dedicated to filter coffee brew methods. At its core, the Filtro pairs a lower-RPM motor with a 50mm burrset that balances grind speed with consistency and low retention. This combo—coupled with a stepless grind adjust system and on-demand grinding—makes the Filtro's simple-yet-sturdy setup easy to use and maintain. The externals offer similar quality—a thick metal case, tinted gray bean hopper, and matching catch bin—for a grinder built to last through years of service.

What's In The Box
Your Eureka Mignon Filtro includes: Grinder unit, 6oz/170g round bean hopper with lid, matching grounds catch bin, cleaning brush, and power cord. The Filtro is optimized specifically for drip coffee and pour over brewing methods and is NOT recommended for espresso.

Setup & First Use

Brew Method Range

The Filtro is Eureka's dedicated brew grinder—its lower-RPM motor and 50mm burrset are tuned specifically for the coarser range required by drip coffee, pour over, AeroPress, and French press. The Filtro does not produce espresso-fine grinds effectively; for espresso, see Eureka's Mignon espresso line.

Initial Setup

Place the Filtro on a flat surface. Attach the bean hopper. The included grounds catch bin attaches below the grind chute to collect bulk coffee for drip brewers. Alternatively, place your pour-over dripper, AeroPress, or French press carafe directly below the chute.

Grind Adjustment

The Filtro uses Eureka's stepless micrometric bottom-burr adjust system for near-infinite settings across the brew range. The adjustment knob is on the front. For pour-over, start around medium; for drip machines, start slightly coarser; for French press, go coarser still. Adjust while the grinder is running.

Tutorials & Training

Manual On-Demand Operation

Press and hold the side-mounted activation switch to grind. Release when your desired dose weight is reached. The Filtro has no timer—use a scale to measure dose weight for consistent results. Typical pour-over dose is 20–30g; typical drip is 50–80g depending on batch size.

Grind Settings by Method

Pour over (V60, Chemex): medium-fine. Drip coffee maker: medium. AeroPress: medium to medium-fine depending on technique. French press: coarse. Cold brew: extra coarse. The Filtro's full stepless range accommodates all of these methods.

Using the Grounds Catch Bin

The included grounds bin is matched in color and material to the Filtro's case. Use it for batch grinding into a drip machine's filter basket—place the bin under the chute, grind, then pour into your brewer's basket. The bin capacity accommodates 6–8 cup batch sizes.

Eureka's bottom-burr adjust system moves only the lower burr, preserving your grind setting even when you disassemble the grinder for cleaning.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Brush the grind chute and grounds catch bin after each session. Empty the bin fully after use—leftover grounds absorb moisture and can cause mold if left.

Burr Cleaning

Remove the top burr periodically for cleaning (grind setting preserved). Brush clean and reassemble. Run grinder cleaning tablets monthly to purge brew oils from the 50mm burrset.

Troubleshooting

Cannot Grind Fine Enough for Espresso

The Filtro is intentionally designed for brew methods only. Its grind range does not extend to espresso-fine settings. For espresso, please use the Eureka Mignon Notte, Silenzio 55, or Specialita.

Grounds Spilling from Catch Bin

Ensure the catch bin is properly seated below the chute. For large batches, empty the bin partway through rather than waiting for overflow.
